Alternating sunshine and heavy showers on 16th January produced a wonderful rainbow as we cut scrub from the side of a footpath on a hillside at Aston Rowant. There are always wonderful views from wherever we work at Aston Rowant, but the rainbow was the icing on the cake. Talking of which, we enjoyed with our coffee a wondrous apple cake from Diane. Meanwhile, in addition to the footpath brash, we burned on the bonfire much of the scrub we had cut at our previous visit.
