The fire trailer was brought into use again at our October visit to Dunsden churchyard, where we produced a lot of cut material from several tasks: cutting back the car park hedge ready for laying next year; trimming the heavy regrowth in the hedge we had laid along the outer graveyard; cutting down two field maples to waist height next to the storage area; and clearing the storage of encroaching growth and weeds ready for the installation of a weed-inhibiting cover.
Most of these tasks were completed by our party of 10 despite the odd rain shower, and we enjoyed our blackcurrant tart and fruit cake at coffee time.
