Flowercroft Wood

Today a hardy group of volunteers turned up for a session in Flowercroft Wood. We started in snowy weather with tree planting to replace the felt Larches in the wood. We managed to plant 43 new trees, 23 Sorbus torminalis (Wild Service tree or Chequer tree) and 20 Tilia cordata (Small-leaved Lime trees). We had a look at a full size service tree as it was growing nearby. Cakes were superb as always.
