Scrub-clearing along the hollow way leading down from the main car park at Aston Rowant on 17th October. Cutting down the larger bushes means any regrowth in the spring can be browsed by the reserve sheep, making the right conditions for chalk downland wild flowers. Our party of 10 used large sacks to haul the clippings to the bonfire.
