Nuffield Place was buzzing with visitors on a sunny day in August when we set about creating a footpath in the woods. This was an area from which we had cleared holly back in 2006, and the airy beechwood is now an inviting place for walkers. We marked out an interesting meandering path with fallen logs, smoothing out any bumpy patches, so making an easy passage for the pushchairs that came by.
Afterwards we enjoyed seeing the progress that has been made in the garden by Nuffield Place’s own volunteer gardeners, and heard about plans for the future from the new Head Gardener Alex Prain.
