Site: Hurst Water Meadow

Hurst Water Meadow Trust manages this 25 acre site which is located alongside the River Thame and stretches from Dorchester-on Thames village to its confluence with the River Thames.

The site is sensitively managed to preserve, conserve and protect the meadow, its wildlife and their habitats, for the benefit of the public who have free access to the site.

Sonning Common Green Gym visits around once every quarter to assist the group with this aim and is involved with activities such as tree/sapling planting, river/stream dredging and hedge coppicing.

Meeting place: usually the field next to Dorchester bridge off the Dorchester by pass.  Grid reference is SU 581938

The site co-ordinator is Martin Rhodes
