The Recreation Ground is owned by Mapledurham Parish Council and consists of two connected fields. The upper one contains various children’s play equipment and a picnic table. The lower one is accessed by a path through a small spinney in which it is hoped to establish an orchard. There is a hedge down the side of the upper field which was planted by the Green Gym many years ago and is now being renovated by us.

There is also much bramble and scrub which has grown up round both field edges which we are periodically cutting back. It is a pleasant site in which to work invaded periodically by young children with their parents.

Meeting point

We meet in the first field which is off the south side of Rokeby Drive.

Cars should be parked on the side of the road unless the field is dry, in which case it may be possible to park in the field.
