Site: Spring Wood

Spring Wood

The wood lies to the east of Blounts Court Road on the edge of Sonning Common. Down near the bottom, adjacent to one of the public footpaths is the Sedgehill Spring covered by an ornate brick structure with a stone carving of an elephant. The wood has been invaded by much holly in recent years which the Green Gym has been removing. As a result of their activities a carpet of bluebells has been revealed and extended.

Meeting Point

We meet in a paddock of Blounts Court Road.
